HOW TO ATTRACT MONEY

Pages

  • by David Gates

Have you thought about starting a stay-at-home business so that you can make money and still stay home with your children? Although there are great opportunities and amazing stories of success, many scams and fraudulent claims also exist. This article will give you some factors to consider before embarking on a home-based business.

\”If it sounds too good to be true…\” This might seem obvious, but it is amazing how many really good scam artists are able to enlist intelligent people into schemes that sound too good to pass-up! Be very wary of businesses that promise a lot of income in a short period of time with very little work involved.

<br/Be wary of companies wanting money. Of course, some legitimate companies want a fee from you to receive their start-up package, but personally I am very leery of any company who wants you to pay them money on a regular basis in order to work for them. When I started maintaining a website for one company as an independent contractor, not an employee, I was initially impressed with the fact that all that I was investing initially was my time. If that company had never paid me anything, then I would have been out the time, but NO money!

Avoid pyramid schemes. Pyramid schemes are illegal in most states. Basically, a pyramid scheme consists of people recruiting other people to join the pyramid, usually for a fee. Your \”pay\” is based not on selling a product, but on recruiting others. There are only so many people you can recruit, so these schemes make a very few people some money, but for most people, they never see a cent from a pyramid. Run from this one.

Remember that if something sounds too amazing to be the truth, it is probably a scam. In most cases, you must send in money to pay for supplies, put the product together, and then send the assembled product to the company. The usual claim by the company is that the product was not put together correctly, so you will not be paid. Since they are the ones who judge the quality of the production, you have no say in the outcome and, ultimately, no recourse either.

Outlandish claims on a Home Based Business site claiming you will make thousands of dollars in a short time period working from home are sure signs of a scam. Can this be reality? Unfortunately, it just isnt possible. It is possible to make money with a home based business due to a large internet audience, but you must heavily research these possibilities before jumping headfirst into a scam.

Watch out when the very first line in a Home Based Business website states you can make thousands of dollars a week working from home. Is this realistically possible? Not likely. Yes, the Internet does provide unique opportunities for you, especially in marketing to a very large audience, but be very careful and do your research before jumping in to any of these \”unique opportunities.\” Some of these really do work, especially in the Internet Marketing area. I’ve done them myself, and had some reasonable success. But just realize that most websites like this are simply designed to take your money. They hire people who are very convincing copy-writers. They know how to use words, pictures, graphs, etc. to convince you of pretty much anything.

Look for the proof that they can back up their claims. You read an extremely vague ad. You haven’t a clue what the business is about, but boy, could you be making the bucks! Read through the lines and the fine print you will probably find that it’s another home business scam. Do your research. There are great opportunities out there, but they are easily lost in the swarm of sites that are intended merely to scam you.
